The Townsend’s solitaire is considered a “rare regular” by the Minnesota Ornithologists’ Union with five or fewer records in Cook County during the spring season. David Brislance has been happy to see the bird a few times this winter and he recently enticed the Townsend’s solitaire to come to his yard with a stash of mountain ash berries.
