The 2015 Plein Air event at the Grand Marais Art Colony once again brought dozens of artists to the North Shore, from the Caribou River to the Canadian border. It was a treat to see easels set up and artists capturing local scenes in oil or watercolor. The Quick Paint Competition, always a challenge for artists on The Point, was even more interesting in the drizzle that fell on Thursday, September 17. Paintings from Plein Air can be seen at the Johnson Heritage Post in Grand Marais until November 15.
