The northland has been blessed with a proliferation of Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) this year. According to Space.com, Auroras are caused by bursts of particles ejected from the sun—93 million miles away—colliding with Earth’s atmosphere. Whatever the reason, we all enjoy the magnificent show when we are lucky enough to see it.
