Grand Marais photographer Paul Sundberg was able to get a photo of an extremely rare and beautiful sight, a ruby-throated hummingbird nest. Paul has watched the female feed the babies several times from afar. He said the mother feeds her young about every half hour. The nest was found by David Brislance of Grand Marais who was happy to report that when he checked the nest on July 13 the young birds had “fledged.” David said they were out of the nest, perched on a nearby branch.
