The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has made great improvements to the 16-mile Hovland Woods grant-in-aid allterrain vehicle (ATV) trail. The DNR recently completed installation of two bridges along the trail across Swamp River. Dick Tesch and Warren Glenna were the first ATVers to cross the new bridges that will protect the quality of the nearby pond. The grant-in-aid trail is maintained by the Cook County ATV Club.
