U.S. Congressman Rick Nolan’s Duluth-based representative Mark Privratsky met with the public for two hours on Monday, March 10 at the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic. “There was good turnout,” said Privrastky, who added that people shared their concerns about the Affordable Care Act, school funding, early childhood education/ daycare, the South Fowl snowmobile access trail, and the potential development of the Polymet mine and its effects on the environment. Privratsky, who represents Nolan in St. Louis, Lake and Cook counties, collected the comments and will give them to the congressman for his review. “It’s important for the congressman to know what his constituents in Cook County are thinking about,” Privrastky said.
