The Cook County School District is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of $1,000 from the Exxon Mobil Corporation Educational Alliance grant program. This donation was made possible because of the support of Paul Goettl, owner of Clearview General Store in Lutsen, and Wade LeBlanc, owner of North Shore Oil & Propane in Silver Bay. Each business donated $500 and the funding will go towards math or science education in Sawtooth Mountain Elementary School and Cook County High School. Paul Goettl presents his check to Principal Gwen Carman, along with several appreciative third graders! (L-R) Jacob Dorr, Sienna Deneweth, Anna Hay. (L-R, middle) Isaac Cuevas, Riley Goettl, and Tucker Bakko. (L-R, back) Carman and Goettl.
