According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, in 2005 there were an estimated 1,300 active bald eagle nests in Minnesota. We are very fortunate that many of them are in our back yard. David Johnson of Grand Marais captured this magnificent eagle on its nest in the Lake Saganaga area.
