A happy group of book lovers gathered at the Cook County School District recently to say thanks to the Library Friends of Cook County for a generous donation to the school libraries. Principal Gwen Carman was pleased to accept a check for $4,500 for the libraries. She said the annual donation is a tremendous contribution that greatly enhances the district’s ability to purchase new books, media, magazine subscriptions and also supports our Middle School Page Turners student group.
