Normally it’s not good to “be in the red.” But for the Cook County JV Knowledge Bowl “being in the red” means they are advancing to the final Knowledge Bowl tournament on November 22. The top teams (highlighted red in the standings) are competing and Cook County has earned the No. 4 spot in the standings. They capped that No. 4 spot by finishing No. 1 in the November 9 tournament. In that tournament, the team finished 6 points ahead of Mesabi East, which came in second. The team was (L-R, seated) Lars Scannell, Libby Zafft, Megan Lehto. (L-R, standing) Audrey Summers, Sean MacDonell, Joe Chmelik.
