The Cook County Courthouse recently received a facelift with a tuckpointing job. It was part of a repair project that will keep the integrity of the building intact and ensure its longevity. Cook County Maintenance Director Brian Silence was able to obtain a Minnesota Historical Society grant to rehab the outside of the old part of the building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. “That was a great thing,” he said. It was a “good motivator” to get the project moving, he said.
