Remembering 9/11. On Sunday, September 11, 2011, firefighters and First Responders with the Grand Marais Fire Department offered a poignant memorial to those who perished in the terrorist attacks on the United States 10 years ago. From dawn to dusk in Harbor Park in downtown Grand Marais, the American flag, the Grand Marais Fire Department flag, and an EMS flag flew from the fire department ladder truck in a silent tribute.
