Heidi Doo-Kirk helps Olivia Nesgoda hold a little chick at the Cook County Fair on August 20, 2011. It was one of numerous small animals on hand at a petting zoo hosted by Doo-Kirk and Jinsey Smith. Youngsters enjoyed a lot of fun activities at the fair, including carnival games, face painting, an inflatable obstacle course, a bouncy house, and even getting showered by water from a fire truck.
