Much to the delight of outdoor photographer David Johnson a large flock of pelicans landed on Lake Superior within camera range. A fun fact about pelicans is that some groups hunt in packs while swimming along the water’s surface, but pelicans don’t just eat fish. They will eat almost anything that fits in their very large beaks including amphibians, turtles and other birds.
