Right across the street from Marathon Gas Station in the former empty lot sits a brand-new Indian Spice & Curry food truck. Marathon owner Sam Bains said the plans are to open on May 26, but that’s not a given. He said the food truck will run seven days of the week with the hours of operation 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sam and his wife sold some traditional Indian food in the gas station last summer and the public cried for more. The menu this summer will be extensive. Sam has a chef coming from the cities as well as workers coming in from elsewhere to staff the operation.
