Winds blew across the county like a mini hurricane on Monday, May 1. Local photographer Paul Sundberg took this picture of the waves in the Grand Marais harbor. Said Sundberg, “I don’t think I have seen waves and wind in the harbor before that was actually blowing the top of the waves off and making spray. “You could hardly stand up in the parking lot. I wouldn’t have wanted to walk out on the break wall.”
