On Wednesday, May 3, the Grand Marais Planning Commission will meet at 5:15 p.m. at City Hall to consider several zoning requests. The largest of these is a proposal by P&R Development LLC and the Cook County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) to build a 51-unit multifamily residential apartment project on property zoned R-1 in Creechville on the approximately 12 acres sold to the HRA for one dollar by the city of Grand Marais. P&R Development LLC is headquartered in Elk River, Minnesota. All Planning Commission decisions are brought before the Grand Marais City Council for approval or denial of the request(s).
