This American Redstart has been dubbed “Crazy Bird” by Sara Silence and the children at KinderTots Daycare. For the second year he has spent several days fluttering around a patio window as if he wants inside. Local birder Molly Hoffman explains that the Redstart is a warbler and is very territorial. He is most likely defending his territory from a potential rival (his own reflection!) Hoffman said once the Redstart fledglings leave the nest the seemingly erratic behavior would most likely stop.
