Lake Superior put on quite a show a few weeks back when wicked winds whiplashed big waves across the harbor break wall and Coast Guard Lighthouse. The end result of all of that cold water was a lot of intricate ice sculptures that formed along the beach the next day. So, even though the water level may be lower than normal for Lake Superior, at this time of year, the lake is still a spectacular wonder.
