Who, who are you to stare at me? Suggests the look on this snowy owl’s face. Judging from this picture, getting into a staring contest against a snowy owl seems like a bad idea. Summering in the arctic where they also breed, a snowy owl can eat more than 1,600 lemmings. If a snowy owl feels threatened, they have been known to dive at people, and one was seen going after two arctic wolves. A snowy owl banded in Massachusetts in 1992 was captured in Montana in 2015, making her at least 23 years, 10 months old, which is longest lived snowy owl on record. Who, who knows, maybe this one pictured here will live longer.
