The Hedstrom Lumber sponsored crosscut saw competition always pits the top amateurs against Kent Anderson. Kent, a real-life lumberjack, saws a log for time and if you can beat that time Kent gives away a “Mini Me” doll of himself.

As many can surmise, Kent loves his mini-me doll, so he loathes to give it up. However, this year Kent was bested by the Men’s Singles division winner Zach Sievert of Minocqua, Wisconsin. Zach beat Kent in a 1:1 victory round with the single crosscut saw.

Eyewitnesses report that Zach carried this prize around town with glee for hours after the championship, and lots of local folks – recognizing Kent’s face – stopped to ask him for the story!
