A male and female osprey work hard on building their nest on top of a dead tree. At first the nests, which are largely built from sticks, moss, bark, and grass, are about two and half feet in diameter and three to six inches deep. But over the years, Ospreys can end up with nests 10-13 feet deep and three to six feet in diameter. It takes two to three weeks to build a new nest.
