“We have a pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches actively nesting at our place. Here it appears the female was removing birch sap from the nest entrance. I have been observing them since April 4 when they were excavating the nest. The female is spending a lot of time in the nest and the male has been checking on her. They have been really fun to watch.”
