Republican 8th Congressional District candidate Pete Stauber will visit Cook County on Thursday, November 1 at about 7:45 p.m. at the Schroeder Town Hall to visit with attendees.
As his campaign winds down, Stauber is including a brief stop in Cook County during a four-day whirlwind trip to all the counties across the district.
He is competing against Joe Radinovich (DFL) to see who will represent the 8th District in Congress.
Stauber is a Duluth native and Denfeld High School graduate. Pete, who is now a resident of Hermantown, is currently serving a second term as a St. Louis County commissioner. He and his wife Jodi, an Iraqi war veteran, are parents to four children. Pete played professional hockey for the St. Louis Blues before serving 23 years as a police officer, a job he is now retired from. A small business owner, he and his brothers own “The Duluth Hockey Company.”
Pete is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and is a staunch pro-life candidate. He also supports our military and our veterans.
If elected, Pete has stated, “As your congressman, I will support the ongoing efforts to reform our tax code and ensure that more of your hard-earned money stays with you and your family.”

Following his visit here, Pete will drive to International Falls for the next round of visits.
