Pet of the Week

Ladybug is a 12-year-old bantam hen and family pet. Her breed is Mille Fleur D’uccle. It means “thousand flowers” in French and Uccle is a town on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium. Ladybug is truly a sweetheart. She has been a good setter and mother raising up her own offspring and the offspring of other hens over the years. She is a very good flier, resembling that of a grouse in flight. Ladybug is getting older so on cold nights, she gets brought into the warmth of the house to spend the night.
