Pet of the Week

Luna was 23 years old when I met her. She came to my house for Christmas one year. We got along fine until she met my cat Chloe. They immediately hated each other and there was a big fight. Luna was not injured but was very upset and then she found her way to the best room in the house, a place where the sun always shines. Luna was smart enough to allow me to bring her food and water each day, but she was never happy to see me. She was thrilled when her favorite human, Nicki Rice, showed up one day and brought her home again. In time, Luna and I became friends. She was a remarkable creature. Photo by Jean Marie Modl
