Patricia Haylan, 87, passed away on May 10, 2021.
Patricia was a dedicated LPN and spent time working at various nursing homes, including The Little Sisters of the Poor and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
She was an artist in oil painting, charcoal sketching, and watercolors, often hand drawing Christmas and birthday cards for her family. She was quite the comedian and singer, taking up theater performance after retiring from nursing. Patricia has several credits in comedy productions and variety shows in Grand Marais, Minnesota, and a major musical in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
She was the ultimate animal lover, taking in rescue dogs and cats her entire life. An avid gardener, her yard was the most beautiful wherever she lived.
Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Forgy and Jim Forgy; and her sister, Dorothy Blair. Survivors include her children, Jennifer Plahuta, Joseph Meachum, Jean Barratt, Tiri Weber, Tina Taylor, Fred Meachum and James Meachum; her brother, Joe Forgy; 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren.
There was a celebration of her life on June 4th in Kansas City, Missouri.
