The Grand Marais Park Board hopes to improve this open area between the Grand Marais Recreation Park campground and North House Folk School to better handle stormwater and to create a handicap accessible path to the waterfront. However the engineer’s estimate of $595,190.70 for the work came as a shock. The park board has asked engineers to put together another, less expensive, proposal.
