Five years after Pam Taylor retired from coaching and teaching at I.S.D. 166, she was honored by being inducted into the Polar League Hall of Fame. Pam traveled to Esko, where she was honored with several other area coaches in April.

Coach Taylor dedicated 35 years of her life to teaching and coaching kids at I.S.D. 166.

As a coach, her volleyball team won 411 games. In addition, she took her team to the state volleyball tournament for the last three years as a coach.

On October 11, 2019, then I.S.D. 166 Principal and A.D. Mitch Dorr announced to a Homecoming volleyball crowd that the gymnasium had been named The Pam Taylor Gymnasium in honor of Ms. Taylor. At the time, Mitch said, “I had Pam as a teacher. Pam had a remarkable career filled with class. She refused to prepare a speech for this evening. Pam was all about the kids, teaching, coaching, and caring for them.”

In addition to coaching volleyball, Pam was the school’s Athletic Administrator and taught physical education and health.
