The eighth grade girls’ volleyball team, under the direction of Coach Kelly Roberts, won the majority of their games this season.

Their last contest, against Silver Bay on Monday, October 14, was more of a scrimmage, with the Vikings winning all of the games against the Mariners in a dominating fashion.

On Saturday, October 12, the 7th and 8th grade teams traveled to Carlton to play in an all-day tournament.

“My girls finished 4th out of nine teams, but we were in all of the matches,” said Coach Roberts, adding, “We placed first in our pool and played really well and I’m proud of all of them.”

The only losses the 8th grade team suffered were at the Carlton tourney; otherwise they won all the rest of their matches.

Eighth graders participating this season were Raina Ryden, Meredith Sutton, Jazzmin Blackwell, Jamie Johnson, Santina McMillian, Abby Prom, Claire Sherburne, Jasmine Smith, Hana Borson, Wellesley Howard- Larsen, Linnea Gesch, Kia Brazell and Bryn Soland.
