I’ve been hard on Commissioner Bob Fenwick for a year and a half. As he leaves office I would like to point out that I believe he was the best commissioner in many years. Of the commissioners he sat with, he appeared to know more about government, policy and procedure than the rest.
At times he put the county before himself and his family and I’d guess there was a cost. While lately we’ve not agreed on local government policy, I know the commissioner is an honest, caring person not because he’s commissioner but because that’s who he is.
I thank the commissioner for his dedication and service and wish him and his family the best.
