Learn more about osteoporosis and its prevention at a free introductory session at 2 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Cook County YMCA.
RSVP Bone Builders is a nationally praised exercise program designed to help individuals maintain bone mass, build on existing bone mass and improve balance. The program’s goal is to empower women and men to reduce their osteoporosis risk through proper exercise and to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Classes include gentle no-impact weight training using light weights and balance exercises. RSVP volunteers lead classes with no charge to participants other than to purchase approved weights.
