Ordinary people make us a better world

Fascism is insidious. Where did the lie that is the size of a whale begin? It was a little minnow someone decided to feed. It was given food by someone who decided to re-tweet an election conspiracy theory, it was given shelter by a Republican official who decided that black or liberal or poor voices didn’t matter as much as a white mega donor or the militia next door or the truth of mind like a steel ball – incapable of seeing another human.

When Rep. Stauber decided to sign onto a meritless Texas AG lawsuit via amicus to supposedly support the interests of American voters to a free and fair election he clearly indicated that the voice of America was not the important voice, it was the voice of the Trump Mob screaming in his and other officials’ ears. To be fair, he did not sink so low as Hawley or Cruz, but he is no Raffensperger. I reminded Rep. Stauber that police officers staffed firing squads for the Third Reich. He replied that coming together for healing is important. It is, we should all refute the demons at the door before it is too late – for some it already is.

Already at least one Blue Line is dripping red because of fascists. Ordinary people allow destruction. Ordinary people make the world better. What are we? Democrats or Fascists? Do we believe in systems or tyrants? A republic of the stars or an empire of husks?
