Ojibwe Language Instructor Tom Jack will be offering Intro to Ojibwe Language through Culture, Customs and Traditions at Cook County Community Education.
Intro to Ojibwe Language through Culture, Customs and Traditions is being offered at Cook County Community Education to acquaint students with the descriptive Ojibwe language. The standardized double vowel system of reading and writing will be used. Students will explore the circle of seasons and harmonious respect of woodland traditionin context with language acquisitions. Activities are designed to promote speaking and listening as well as reading the language.
The classes will be held on Wednesdays, December 12, January 9, 23, February 6 and 20 at the 4H Log Cabin near the Cook County Community Center from 3:45-5:15. The instructor will be Tom Jack.
This class is open to students in third grade through adult. Youth younger than third grade are welcome to attend with an adult. The cost for the class is $30.
