Operation Family Christmas looking for donations

Applications are in, and we are into the second phase of the Operation Family Christmas program.

At this time we are looking for people to donate by “adopting a child” for Christmas. The way this works is throughout the county (including the Senior Center) there will be Christmas trees up with tags that give information (gender, age, favorite color, wish list) about a child who is a part of the Operation Family Christmas program. You can choose a tag (or as many as you like), and go shopping and by December 16 bring the unwrapped gifts (with tags securely attached) to the location you picked it up from.

I encourage everyone that can help to please do so. Not just individuals and families but businesses as well. This year the number of families and children have doubled, so we need to pull together as a community and help the children wake up on Christmas morning and feel the magic that Christmas brings on such a special day.
