Oshki Ogimaag (School Of New Leaders) Charter School in Grand Portage invites families and the surrounding community to an open house and picnic on Monday, August 31 at the Grand Portage school from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The open house is being held to give children and their parents the opportunity to meet the Oshki Ogimaag teachers— kindergarten teacher Erin Young; 1st -3rd grade teacher Bridget LeGarde; 4th – 6th grade teacher Keith Bergeron and special ed teacher Jeff Stork. Also on hand will be Director Sherri Moe.
Community members will also have the chance to ride the school’s shiny new yellow bus with bus driver Larry “Fish” Deschampe. Everyone is also welcome to examine the exciting new curriculum and equipment. Oshki Ogimaag is offering an additional fun incentive—all students who enroll will receive free school supplies.
Oshki Ogimaag is a Charter School serving kindergarten (all day) through sixth grade students. Oshki Ogimaag is a public school (free, no tuition), which offers small multi-level classrooms with 10-15 students maximum.
Oshki Ogimaag is designed to support and nurture each student in a safe and encouraging environment close to home.
