One more question on biomass

One of my questions to the Cook County Local Energy Project regarding the Italian Turboden biomass plant proposal was left out last week. I have another question about the project featured in the May 2 News-Herald.

The article claims that the plant could provide heat and electricity for several public buildings in Grand Marais. If, as the article claims, the hot water produced by the plant is between 150 and 180 degrees Fahrenheit, how does the plant generate electricity? Also the article claims heat can be sent 50 miles. So, how about sending the heat from Hedstrom Lumber’s hot water boiler six miles to town?

Also, could you remind us why Hedstrom Lumber Company is not generating electricity at its present site? Or are they? If not, why not?
