One injured in crash in Tofte




A two-vehicle collision near Tofte General Store sent one person to the hospital on Thursday, August 27.

At about 2:53 p.m., Mandy J. Bradley, 38, of Two Harbors, was parked on the shoulder of Highway 61, facing east in a 2014 Jeep Patriot. Bradley pulled back onto the roadway, sideswiping a 2006 Honda CR-V driven by Steven Dobbelmann, 62, of Lutsen.

The Tofte Fire Department, First Responders and Cook County Ambulance were paged. The Fire Department arrived on the scene at 3:06 p.m. and the ambulance was there at 3:30 p.m.

Neither driver suffered injury. Transported to North Shore Hospital was a passenger in the Honda CR-V, Deborah Dobbelman, 63, of Lutsen who suffered non-life-threatening injuries to her head and arm. All parties were wearing seatbelts.

Both vehicles suffered moderate damage and were towed from the scene.

The incident is under investigation.
