On Sept. 3 from noon to 4 p.m. there will be an Old Fashioned Pie & Ice Cream Social fundraiser at Chik- Wauk museum. There is free admission all day long.
On hand will be homemade delicious pie from our local bakers on the Gunflint Trail. There is a suggested donation of $5/slice of pie a la mode.
The North Shore Community Swing Band will start playing at 2 p.m. on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Resort. Carol Stockman will be on hand in the Nature Center to demonstrate how to make pine needle baskets. Timothy McDonnell will be on hand to autograph his newest book “The Contemplative Paddler’s Fireside Companion.” The Sidewalk Sale will feature items marked from 20 – 50 percent off.
Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is located on the Gunflint Trail (Highway 12): turn right onto Moose Pond Drive (County Road 81).
