Sen. Tom Bakk and Rep. David Dill, Cook County’s representatives in the Minnesota Legislature, will be the featured guests and speakers at Cook County Higher Education’s October Business Networking Luncheon. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 22 at Higher Ed’s North Shore Campus, 300 W. Third St., Grand Marais.
Bakk and Dill will be introduced by Scott Harrison of Lutsen Resort, who also will make a short presentation on the state of the Cook County economy. Harrison serves on the Grand Marais-Cook County Economic Development Authority board. The two legislators will make short remarks on issues confronting the state and likely to be hot topics in the 2014 legislative session. They also will take questions as time allows.
