The Northwoods Fiber Guild will host its annual Holiday Sale & Open House on Saturday, December 1 at the Grand Marais Art Colony in Grand Marais. The doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with tasty treats, activities, music, and plenty of holiday spirit.
A beautiful tree filled with fiber ornaments greets shoppers each year, while several artists demonstrate their weaving, spinning, and felting skills. Everyone is also invited to learn a new fiber craft at the hands-on area, which is a popular activity for all ages.
There is a wide variety of fiber handcrafts at the holiday sale this year including knitting, weaving, spinning, felting, quilting, basketry, and woodcarving. There will be rugs, wall hangings, paper art, cards, beadwork, jewelry, felt sculptures, scarves, hats, mittens, socks, unique clothing, accessories, and other mixed media, as well as pottery. Credit cards will be accepted for purchases.
This sale event has become a well-known tradition for about 20 years on the North Shore offering high quality one-of-a kind fiber crafts handmade.
