When God said, “Let there be light,” he did a glorious job of creating outside lighting. But what about light for the inside of a home?
That’s where Jim Miller comes in.
In his fifth year servicing Cook County, Jim Miller has been providing professional lighting services for the community through his company called Northern Lights.
Miller has been working in the field since 1986, working as a buyer and planner for two big Twin Cities firms for most of his career.
“I have done commercial lighting as well as residential. I did the lighting for Voyageur Brewing, the Gunflint Tavern, worked with the Mayhew Houses and did the lighting for most of the churches in the area.”
Miller doesn’t install the lighting, but he works with contractors and electricians, as well as the homeowner from the start to the finish of a job. “I like to say that I do lighting right the first time,” he said with a smile.
As far as price, “I always beat the internet price on lights. Always. I work with over 70 distributorships and I don’t include a delivery charge.”
If you have a home built already, Jim can help with LED lighting, retrofitting lights to save you money.
If you need custom lighting, “I can get that as well. I work with designers who can make practically anything.”
No matter the structure, be it a log cabin to a modern mansion, Miller can help you select the best type of lighting to light up the inside of your home.
As far as the outside lighting, beyond your porch lights, Jim will let God take care of that.
