North Shore Title expands staff, adding controller and director of human resources



 

 

North Shore Title, a leading provider of commercial and residential real estate transactions, has strengthened its internal team and is pleased to welcome two new staff members. Liz Zaborski has joined North Shore Title as controller, and Laurie Edgerton as director of human resources.

“We are thrilled to welcome these two new staff members to North Shore Title,” said Brad Orn, North Shore Title co-owner and president. “Their expertise is essential to growing our team, and this additional strength in accounting, finance and human resources allows our company – and our real estate transactions – to operate smoothly.”

As controller, Liz is responsible for handling North Shore Title’s financial accounts. She manages accounts payable, payroll, audits and financial statements. She also assists with human resources and benefits as necessary. Liz brings with her over 15 years of experience in banking, loan processing and accounting, having spent many years working for organizations including US Bancorp, Central Bank in Stillwater, Minnesota, Washington Trust Bank and the Department of Natural Resources. Liz has spent time living and working in Minnesota, Idaho and Alaska.

Today, she and her husband are enjoying the refreshing pace and climate of Duluth.

Laurie brings over 20 years of human resources experience to North Shore Title. As the company continues to grow, it is critical that human resources are managed proactively and effectively. Laurie is working to build North Shore Title’s employment foundation with up-to-date job descriptions, a current employee handbook and competitive salary and benefit guides. Born and raised in Virginia, Minnesota, Laurie currently lives in Duluth with her family. Her positive outlook, unshakable work ethic and balanced approach align perfectly with North Shore Title’s commitment to helping employees achieve their individual career goals.
