With sections scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24, North Shore Storm cross country coach April Wahlstrom rested most of her boys and girls varsity at the Proctor Lions Invitational held Oct. 15.
The boys finished 14th in the 19-team boys’ field, and the girls placed 12th in the 17-team girls’ race.
The boys’ and girls’ junior varsity runners ran in the varsity race. The girls placed 5th out of six teams, and the boys finished 8th out of 10 teams.

Louise Ramberg led the Storm with a finish in 48th place, crossing the line in 22:35. Girls’ junior high (2400 meter) results
Jocelyn Carr’s 12th-place finish led her team to a third-place finish in the girls’ junior high race. Jocelyn’s time was 11:22.
Amery Oberg placed 17th with a time of 11:37; Allison Henschel finished 33rd in 12:56; Shawanda Everson placed 34th in 13:08; Liv Hedstrom placed 43rd with a time of 13:39; Nadia Latvala placed 44th in 13:42; and Laiba Eiman was 51st place, crossing the finish line 16 minutes, 16 seconds.
Boy’ varsity and junior varsity 5000-meter race finishers
After missing several meets due to illness, Tate Crawford looks to be getting healthy again. Tate led the boys’ varsity with a 67th place, crossing the finish line in 19 minutes. Boys’ junior high results
The North Shore Storm boys’ junior high team placed 5th in a field of nine teams.
Travis Elling led the way with a 6th-place finish, running the 2400 meters in 9:38. Next, Elija Smith was 8th in 9:40; Bryan Lillis finished 38th in 10:58; Cody Lange placed 57th with a time of 11:31; Clay Thorpe was 60th in the finishing chute with a time of 11:35; Jaden Osberg placed 69th in 11:48; Andrew Hallberg placed 74th in 11:50; AJ Mattson finished 80th with a time of 12:06; Silas Eckstrom placed 108th in 14:56, and Reed Cruikshank placed 115th in 18:57.
