After several days of competitive action, North Shore Outdoors took 1st place in the Fisherman’s Picnic Softball Tournament. With this win, the team, sponsored by local guide Kelly Shepherd, is a “threepeat” champion.

Tournament organizer Bob Spry said the same two teams came to the playoff again this year—North Shore Outdoor and the Eden Prairie Sox. North Shore Outdoors was defeated in regulation play and had to win two games to claim the championship. “The same as last year!” said Spry.

Spry said he was pleased with the turnout for the Fisherman’s Picnic tournament. There were 10 teams this year. North Shore Outdoors won $300 and runners up Sox earned $150 for their efforts.

Anyone who would like to assist with the Fisherman’s Picnic tournament next year is encouraged to call Spry at (218) 370-0445.
