New staff and interns have arrived on campus! From left-to-right, Skyler Hawkins (Intern), Sarah Waddle (Program Manager), Anna Ruhland (Intern), Cindy Hansen (School Store Manager), Rose Holdorf (Intern), and Derek Rausch (Intern).
North House Folk School has welcomed several new faces in the past couple of months, including four interns, a new school store manager, and a new program manager.
Long-time Cook County resident Cindy Hansen is the new friendly face in the school store – stocking it full of books, handmade craft, and tools! Sarah Waddle comes to us most recently from Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center and will be running the intern program and organizing volunteers.
The four interns hail from Minnesota and Oregon and are at North House through November. Anna, Rose, Derek, and Skyler will be some of the eager hands and welcoming smiles hosting special events, leading public demonstrations, sailing onboard the schooner Hjordis, and hosting weekly wood-fired pizza potlucks for students.
