With the Wooden Boat Show behind us, weekend public programs at North House Folk School are now officially under way. Visitors to neighbors, individuals to families are all invited to learn more about North House’s educational mission by stopping by campus.
Each public program will last 45-90 minutes. The weekly schedule of public programs features North House’s program interns and will include: . Friday —
Wood-fired baking demonstration starting at 2 p.m.; some
eating required! Donations requested. . Saturday —
See the classrooms in action and learn about the school’s
history starting at 2 p.m.; some laughing
required! Free of charge. . Sunday —
Experience a different traditional craft each week, starting at 2 p.m.; your hands required! Donations requested.
Additionally, North House’s sailing program aboard the schooner Hjordis
is also under way for the summer.
