Norma Lucille Wilson





 

 

Norma Lucille Wilson, age 73 of Cloquet, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Solvay Hospice House surrounded by her family.

She was born July 19, 1942 in Duluth to Edward and Marion (Bardsley) Jacobsen.

Norma grew up on the North Shore and graduated from Cook County High School in 1959. She had worked as a waitress for the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino for 23 years. Prior to that, Norma had lived and worked in Arizona and California. She moved back to Minnesota in 1983 to be near family. After retiring in 2008, Norma moved to Cloquet.

Norma’s hobbies included gardening, knitting, reading books, working complex jigsaw and crossword puzzles, watching the Minnesota Twins and old movies. She especially loved to be with her grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband Franklin in 1972; and brother Nicholas Jacobsen in 2015.

She is survived by her sons James (Julie) Wilson of Ballinger, Texas and Rodney (Carrie) Wilson of Esko; brother Stephen Jacobsen of Hovland; and her grandchildren Cote, Jesse, Emilee and Owen.

Visitation was Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Refreshments will follow in the fellowship room. See the family online guest book at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net.
