Above: Deb Vannet of Colvill shot this nice buck with a 50 cal. muzzle loader on November 29, 2012 near Judge Magney State Park. The buck field dressed at 223 pounds and had nine points—one point was broken off. The rack had an inside measurement of over 18 inches. This is Deb’s first deer with a muzzle loader and her largest buck to date.
Left: Although there are many different opinions about whether or not there should be a wolf season, history was made this year with the first wolf season held in Minnesota in many years. This 117-pound timber wolf was trapped by Rusty Peterson of Grand Marais, 200 yards from his home on December 10, 2012.
