No plans to take care of the sick

I have grown weary with the likes of Garry Gamble and Mark Quello. I see them as captains perched on their white horses, ignorance and selfishness, ordering their unvaccinated troops across the battlefield armed with only misinformation and conspiracy theories. And you probably noticed what is conspicuously absent in their letter and article. Right, that would be a plan. They have no idea how to safely get our children back to school, protect the immunocompromised, or take care of our frail elderly. Pretty sure when their unvaccinated friends get sick, they will not be knocking on their door. Those sick, unvaccinated Covid patients will be calling me and the amazing group of health care people I work with. They will come asking for advice and help from the same health care people, who have been pleading with them to get immunized, that they have ignored for the same six months. Weird. Is the vaccine perfect? Nope. But it is our only hope out of the mess we find ourselves in. It will diminish your risk of getting infected, and if you get infected it does a really good job of keeping you out of the hospital and prevents you from dying. Our health care system is stretched to the breaking point. We are in this together, so roll up your sleeve and “get er done”. Get vaccinated, now, before it is too late.
